President Xi Jinping has emphasized the importance of consolidating China's strong ties with Russia. He made the remarks on Tuesday in his meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Beijing. Li Yong, chief researcher at the Beijing-based D&C Think Tank, says the two sides need to strengthen cooperation in various fields, such as trade, agriculture, energy etc.
