Russia expelled five Swedish diplomats on Thursday as a "retaliatory measure," TASS news agency reported, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Russia will also shut down the activities of the Consulate General of Sweden in St. Petersburg and terminate the activities of its Consulate General in Gothenburg starting on September 1, it added.
