Butterflies are exploding as over 320 species are emerging in the Butterfly Valley in Jinping County of southwest China's Yunnan Province.
Experts estimate that 80-100 million caterpillars will morph into butterflies in about one month. The number is expected to be lower than last year's due to volatile weather conditions and the increase of butterflies' enemies.
The valley, with dense forests and adequate humidity, is home to some rare butterfly species, including the golden Kaiser-i-Hind, the golden birdwing, etc.
