Iran tested what it dubbed the latest iteration of its liquid-fueled Khorramshahr ballistic missile on May 25, amid wider tensions with the West over its nuclear program, according to Iranian state media outlet IRNA.
Iranian officials described the new missile as having a 2,000-kilometer range with a 1,500-kilogram warhead, with IRNA saying the missile is called Kheibar, a reference to a Jewish castle overrun by Muslim warriors in the early days of Islam.
