With the arrival of summer in the western part of southwest China's Sichuan Province, the lifeless frozen land began to embrace tender green. Unlike the rest of Sichuan, the western part is mostly on the plateau, so it has a spectacular landscape of glaciers, vast grasslands and snow-covered mountains. Because of the high altitude, the summer is usually later and shorter than in other parts of China. This video follows a traveler's route in western Sichuan, showcasing a grand view of the region that glows with the fresh colors of an upcoming season that offers breathtaking views.
