Thomas Tuchel, manager of Bayern Munich, said on Friday that they won't be satisfied even if they manage to win the Bundesliga title this season.

Bayern are currently two points behind Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund, with one more game to go for both teams. Bayern will play Cologne at RheinEnergieStadion on Saturday while Dortmund host Mainz at Westfalenstadion at the same time.

All Dortmund need is a win to end Bayern's 10-title winning streak. Bayern have the experience of winning the title in similar situations before, like in the 1999-2000 campaign. Back then, Bayern were three points behind Bayer Leverkusen before the final game. However, Leverkusen lost to Unterhaching 2–0 while Bayern beat Werder Bremen 3-1, eventually winning the title courtesy of a better goal difference.

Nonetheless, even if the Bavarian powerhouse can repeat the miracle this time, the club may not be very happy with the season after being knocked out from both the UEFA Champions League and the DFB-Pokal.

"It's our own fault, our own responsibility," Tuchel said. "Of course, we'll try to run the race to the end because we're obliged to give everything to the end."

"It won't be a season that we can be happy with. It won't be a season in which the number of points is enough for our demands, in which the quality of our game is enough for us. Regardless of how it goes in the end, it won't be a satisfactory season anymore," he added.

The lack of a reliable, consistent scorer has been bothering Bayern since their long-time ace striker Robert Lewandowski left for Barcelona last summer. The arrival of Sadio Mane from Liverpool didn't fix the problem. Neither did Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting manage to keep his good form for the whole season.
