The 2023 Lancang-Mekong Week held in Beijing May 25-26 themed at elevating levels of cooperation on securing water resources in the Lancang-Mekong Region. Diplomats from Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, along with officials from China's Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the event. Chinese diplomatic officials advocated for the construction of a closer community of shared future for Lancang-Mekong countries. The participating nations committed to strengthening cooperation. Young delegates from all six countries also engaged in discussions during a roundtable meeting as part of efforts to foster regional cooperation.
