As cosmopolitan and modern as it may be, Hong Kong has never lost touch with its traditions. The Bun Festival is again being held in the city this year, following three years of cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As one of Hong Kong's most popular cultural traditions, the Bun Festival on the island of Cheung Chau in Hong Kong has been drawing tens of thousands of locals and tourists this year for a slew of celebrations, such as parades, lion dances, and a bun snatching competition. The festival began on May 23 and ends on May 27.
