Japanese lawmakers and citizens gathered outside the prime minister's office in Tokyo on May 26 to condemn the government's plan to discharge radioactive wastewater from Fukushima into the sea. Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has announced the completion of the undersea tunnel for the discharge of radioactive wastewater. Protesters believe that the so-called "safe water treatment" is a lie by the government and TEPCO, and strongly oppose the plan.
