American composer Niccolo Athens takes inspiration from "The Book of Odes," the earliest collection of Chinese poetry dating back some 3,000 years, to create western classical music. Not only a professional composer, he is also a keen globetrotter. In the music special "CGTN The Stage," Athens brings a string quartet piece inspired by an ancient Chinese folk song and shares with us his stories of turning Chinese literary classics into symphonies.
