Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) clinched a record-breaking 11th Ligue 1 title with one game left when they drew 1-1 at Racing Strasbourg on Saturday.

With this victory, PSG megastar Lionel Messi equaled the world record of 43 career trophies. The 35-year-old has won three trophies with PSG, five with Argentina and 35 with former club Barcelona.

Messi also surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo for the most goals scored in Europe's top five leagues with his record 496th strike in the 59th minute.

Meanwhile in Germany, Bayern Munich snatched their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title with a 2-1 win at Cologne in their final game of the season thanks to a late goal from Jamal Musiala.

With Dortmund stumbling to a 2-2 draw at home against Mainz, Bayern surpassed their rivals in the standings by virtue of a better goal difference. Both teams finished with 71 points.

In Italy's Serie A, Inter Milan booked their Champions League berth for the next season after beating Atalanta 3-2.
