Dafen, a village in the southern region of China, was once the world's leading art factory, responsible for producing around 60 percent of all new oil paintings globally. However, that was nearly three decades ago. Today, the village's shops, previously focused on mass-producing replicas of western artworks, are working hard to reinvent themselves as creative hubs.
