Brain-Computer Interface, or BCI, is a hot topic at the tech-focused Zhongguancun Forum in Beijing. The industry has generated a lot of hype, since American entrepreneur Elon Musk made some bold claims about his BCI firm Neuralink. These claims included potentially melding human consciousness with AI to users being able to "save and replay memories" or telepathically summon their car. Will BCI ever be capable of these? CGTN talked to Mohamad Sawan, a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and an expert in the field.
