A collision experiment filmed by China Media Group highlights the safety of China's high-speed trains in east China's Shandong Province. In the experiment, a locomotive collides with a stationary one at a high speed but remains intact, showing the effectiveness of the energy-absorbing equipment developed by the China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC). Established in 2017, the company's platform for railway collision experiments is one of the most advanced in the country. In 2019, the platform completed the world's highest-speed collision experiment of high-speed trains in which one train hit a stationary one at a speed of 76 kilometers per hour.
