This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which has shown resilience and vitality in driving global development as a new model of sustainable international cooperation based on openness, inclusiveness and mutual benefit. Youth from many countries recently shared their impressions of the BRI with CGTN.

One of them is Takaya Inoue, an international student from Japan studying at the language center at Tsinghua University in the Chinese capital, Beijing. Inoue, who used to be a member of Tsinghua's Student Association of Belt and Road Initiative, shared his experience of coming to China and what he sees as cultural similarities between China and Japan. He said he looks forward to more international exchanges between the two countries.
