China's Shenzhou-16 manned spaceship successfully docked with the China Space Station on Tuesday, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA). The spaceship, launched on May 30, conducted a fast automated rendezvous and docked with the radial port of the space station core module Tianhe at 16:29 Beijing Time, forming a combination of three modules and three spacecraft. The whole process took approximately 6.5 hours, the CMSA said. The onboard taikonauts, scheduled to stay in orbit for about five months, will conduct large scale in-orbit tests and scientific experiments in various fields as planned.
