China's Shenzhou-16 manned spaceship is the first of a new series of six Shenzhou spacecraft with wholesale improvements, including the use of more domestically produced components.

Shenzhou-16 is largely similar to Shenzhou-15 as its main functions and technical indicators remain unchanged, but some important changes have been made to enhance its capabilities.
