China's deputy UN envoy hails Arab unity for solving Syrian issue

Geng Shuang, China's deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, on Tuesday welcomed Syria's return to the Arab League and expressed support for the revitalization of efforts by the Arab countries. He made the remarks during a daily meeting of the UN Security Council on Syria when Geir O. Pedersen, special envoy of the secretary-general for Syria, appealed to reconvene the constitutional committee and work for national reconciliation.
