Michele Geraci: China delivers 'ex-post' democracy

"Democracy doesn't only mean to vote," especially in a relative majority vote, says Michele Geraci, former undersecretary of state at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development. He adds that China's concept of democracy focuses more on the results than the process, creating a "covenant" between the government and the people. He dubs this model "ex-post democracy" inasmuch as it represents the overwhelming majority and gets things done.
