Five people were killed and 19 others were injured in a village of the Carpathians in the Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine when a poultry farm was shelled by Ukrainian forces, the Joint Control and Coordination Commission (JCCC) said.
The JCCC, consisting of both Russian and Ukrainian officers, was set up in September 2014 under an agreement between Russia and Ukraine to assist with the implementation of the Minsk agreements for a settlement in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the governor in the southern Belgorod region bordering Ukraine said Wednesday that the territory was subjected to massive shelling overnight, which injured four people.
