One-month-old quintuplet Bengal tiger cubs made their first public appearance at Chongqing Wildlife World park in southwestern China.

The five cubs, two males and three females, were born on April 28 at the park. They were unluckily abandoned by their aged and irascible mother and could only stay in the incubator due to their weak physical condition.

Sunday's outing was the first time for them to leave the incubator. After exploring the surroundings with curiosity, they laid lazily on the grass and enjoyed the sun.

"The weather is nice today, so we took the tiger cubs outside to allow them to bask in the sunshine and get familiar with the environment. It is also a chance for more visitors to have a look at them," said their breeder Shen Wei.

The five tiger cubs are in good condition right now, as their weight has increased from 0.5 kilograms when they were born to about 3 kilograms, said the breeder.

The five little ones received a lot of attention from the visitors at the park, as both children and their parents were excited to see them and take photos and videos.

"This is the first time for me to have the chance to be so close to the tiger cubs, and they are really cute. Their fur is softer than expected. The whole experience is very interesting," said a visitor.
