The Beidou satellite-based augmentation system for the Yangtze River trunk line officially went into operation following the final acceptance of the Ministry of Transport, announced the ministry's Yangtze River Communications Administration on Thursday. The project, which began in November 2018, is the first domestically developed Beidou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) for inland river navigation in China.
