Chinese naval training ship Qi Jiguang, which is on a cadet training mission and visit in the far seas, concluded a three-day goodwill visit to Thailand and set off for Brunei. The ship arrived at Sattahip Port in Thailand, the fifth visit to Thailand by a Chinese naval training ship. A seeing-off ceremony was held with more than 200 people taking part. Participants included Chinese military attaches in Thailand, staff from the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, representatives of teachers and students at Chinese schools, representatives of Chinese-funded institutions and overseas Chinese, as well as representatives of officers and soldiers from the Royal Thai Navy. An on-deck reception was held with nearly 300 people from the two countries attending.
