The Dongfeng landing site is gearing up for the much-anticipated return of the Shenzhou-15 crew from space. Located in the Gobi Desert in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region near Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, the landing site covers 13,000 square meters of a depopulated zone with complex topography. The Shenzhou-15 crew will land here after a six-month stay in space. More than 10 search and rescue groups, five helicopters and nearly 100 vehicles with different functions headed for their positions in the early hours for the final drills.
