In an interview with CGTN anchor Xu Qinduo, former Singaporean Foreign Minister George Yeo said the U.S. has built military bases around the world in the name of "security," and with the hegemonic position of the U.S. dollar, it is taxing the world by printing more money. The U.S.’s own hegemonic behavior has accelerated this trend of de-dollarization, and countries worldwide are eager to find an alternative to reduce their dependence on the dollar.
