China is providing opportunities for other countries to share its space program achievements, which can help them build a strong base to develop their own national programs, said Niklas Hedman, acting director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs.
Hedman made the remarks at the 66th session of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space held in Vienna on Thursday, two days after China launched the Shenzhou-16 manned spaceship, making another major step in its space endeavor.
