The Japanese government has taken the unilateral decision to discharge nuclear-contaminated wastewater into the sea, though it actually has four other less hazardous disposal options, according to experts, who say that while the discharge option costs the least financially, the cost in terms of damage to the environment, human health and safety will be borne by the whole world.
