Xi extends condolences to Indian president, PM over deadly train collision

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday sent a message of condolences to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the deadly train collision in the country.

In his message, President Xi said he was shocked to learn of the train collision in the eastern state of Odisha, which had caused serious casualties. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, Xi extended deep condolences over the deaths and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

On the same day, Chinese Premier Li Qiang also sent a message of condolences to Modi.
