NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg reiterated that "Sweden has fulfilled its obligations" at a news conference after meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul on Sunday.

There is still time for Sweden to join NATO by the Vilnius summit in mid-July, Stoltenberg said, adding that officials from Sweden, Türkiye and NATO will meet again in the week of June 12 to further discuss Sweden's NATO membership bid.
