Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy on Saturday attended the inauguration ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.
Ding Zhongli, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, had brief talks with Erdogan during the ceremony.
Ding said China views and develops its relations with Türkiye from a strategic and long-term perspective, and is ready to work with it to enhance political mutual trust, promote practical cooperation, deepen traditional friendship and push forward the strategic cooperation relationship between the two countries.
Erdogan said Türkiye is ready to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields and take bilateral relations to a higher level.
