Honghe Hani Rice Terraces, covering a large area in Yunnan Province, have stunned people with its spectacular scenery and dynamic vibe. Local farmers cultivate rice and vegetables on the terraces that cascade down the slopes of fields. They've developed a complete farming system to bring water from mountains to the terraces, involving buffalos, cattle and other livestock. The terraces were listed as a World Heritage Site in 2013 thanks to their excellent construction and unique eco-friendly system.
