Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi held a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after a border incident in which the Israel Defense Forces said "three soldiers were killed by an Egyptian policeman."

The two leaders emphasized the importance of coordinating an investigation into the incident, according to a spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency.
