Wuliangsu Lake in Urad Front Banner, Bayannur, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is the largest functional wetland in the Yellow River basin and a rare large grassland lake in the world's desert and semi-desert area.

In recent years, the ecological environment of the basin has improved significantly, and its biodiversity has continued to recover through the systematic management of mountains, water, forests, farmland, lakes, grass and sand. There are 264 species of birds and 22 species of fish in the lake area, and the management work has achieved phased results.
