Finland will expel nine persons working at the Russian embassy who have worked in intelligence tasks, according to a statement from the Finnish government on Tuesday.
It said the decision was agreed at a meeting attended by the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy and the President of the Republic (TP-UTVA).
"Their actions are in violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will inform the Russian ambassador about it," the government statement said.
The meeting also discussed the preparations for the Vilnius NATO summit slated for July and "condemns the explosion of the Kakhovka dam as a humanitarian and environmental disaster," the statement added.
