- Ukraine on Tuesday accused Russian forces of blowing up Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station (HPP) in the Kherson region. 

- Russian forces blew up Kakhovka HPP overnight from inside the facility, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Tuesday without giving evidence. 

- Russia said the situation was caused by Ukrainian strikes. 

- An evacuation has been ordered in several settlements in the region that are at risk of flooding. 

- The destruction of the dam does not pose a direct threat to the country's electricity supply, the Ukrainian Energy Ministry said on Tuesday.

- The UN's nuclear watchdog, the IAEA, said it saw "no immediate nuclear safety risk" at the Zaporizhzhia power plant and its experts at the plant were monitoring the situation closely.
