The resumption of diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia will ease tensions and bring peace and stability to the Middle East, said Mostafa Khushcheshm, an Iranian political analyst, on Monday.

He also lauded China's role in the diplomatic achievement, saying unlike Western hegemony and military interventions, China always promotes peace talks, which shows its sense of responsibility as a major power.
