Facing the complex global food security situation, China has been working actively to promote international food cooperation. Food security is high on the agenda of Chinese President Xi Jinping, a strong proponent of helping more people have adequate food.
In a congratulatory letter to the International Conference on Food Loss and Waste held in September 2021, President Xi called for all parties to contribute to the goals of zero hunger and zero poverty, and make greater contributions to safeguarding global food security.
