Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on Tuesday inspected Xinhua Forest Farm in Bayannur City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Since 1978, this farm has been combating salinization of cultivated land. After 45 years of efforts, the area has been transformed from a desert into an oasis.
