Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday inspected a modern agricultural demonstration park on the south bank of the Wuliangsu Lake. He watched displays of soil and seed samples and commended local practices of putting idled saline-alkali land and desertified lands to good use, as well as advancing scientific irrigation methods and promoting modern agriculture.
He noted that the demonstration park should make tangible contributions to fostering modern agriculture. Local officials and agricultural technicians share their thoughts after Xi's visit.
