The Chinese authorities have just briefed the media on the modernization of China's emergency management system and capacity. China has been working to safeguard workplace safety and strengthen emergency response capabilities. The number of workplace accidents dropped by 27 percent year on year in 2022, and related deaths fell over 23 percent.
