With a length of more than 1,000 kilometers, the Hainan Island Scenic Highway runs through 12 cities and counties along a coastal belt, including Haikou, Sanya, Qionghai and Wanning, connecting over 50 scenic spots and 68 bays, and providing breathtaking views. It aims to fully integrate local tourism resources and enhance economic development.
China aims to develop Hainan Province into a globally-influential tourism and consumption destination by 2035, with plans to ease restrictions on its offshore duty-free policy and develop cross-border cruise tourism.
