CGTN Nature to release 'Journeys in Nature: Yushu Series'

At an average elevation of 4,200 meters, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province is located in the hinterland of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. With infinite charm and vitality, it hosts the sources of great rivers, and is an important cornucopia of wildlife on the plateau.

CGTN Nature presents "Journeys in Nature - Yushu Series" from June 12 to 21, taking you to explore and discover the unknown mysteries of nature in Yushu. Stay tuned!

Tibetan foxes mainly live on the plateau at an elevation of above 3,500 meters. Their cute, square cheeks, beady eyes and distinctive poker faces have made them an internet celebrity.

Within the owl family, the little owl is among the smallest. Although minuscule and cute, the little owl must not be underestimated. It has a sharp hooked beak, powerful talons and keen vision, the quintessential arsenal of any bird of prey.

The buff-throated partridge mainly feeds on roots, leaves and seeds. It pecks the soil while strolling about. Its claws aren't its primary foraging implement. These birds prefer to cluster. While foraging, they take turns standing guard.

The Tibetan bear is endemic to the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. Among the wild animals on the plateau, this bear tops the local ecological chain. This uncrowned king has no rival around.
