Expert: China has long worked for quality development of its population

June 11 marks China's Population Day. In terms of the quality of the population, at the end of 2022, over 240 million people in China were receiving or had received higher education. The total number of R&D personnel ranks first worldwide. Professor Zheng Zhenzhen from the Institute of Population and Labor Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences says China has worked for a long time on the quality development to boost competitiveness.
