Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks at the Great Hall of the People on Monday with President of Honduras Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento who is on a state visit to China. He extended a warm welcome to President Xiomara Castro and hailed her visit as one of special significance as it opens a new chapter in the annals of the China-Honduras relationship. Xi also spoke highly of the active role that her husband, former President Manuel Zelaya, played in this regard. Their contribution to the China-Honduras relationship will go down in history, he said.
