June 12 is World Day against Child Labor, serving as a catalyst for the growing worldwide movement against child labor. The U.S., having long been self-claimed as a beacon of human rights, is the only UN member that has not ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child and was repeatedly criticized by the International Labor Organization for illegally employing minors. When will the "beacon of human rights" extend the light to these minors?
