Exploring Chinese civilization: Malaysian student moved by China's Lei Feng spirit

Malaysian student Tang Yan Joo studies economics and finance at Tsinghua University in Beijing. When she was a high-school student, she attended a winter camp in northeast China's Liaoning Province, where she made many Chinese friends. During the camp, she also learned about traditional Chinese knitting and calligraphy and visited the Shenyang Palace Museum. What impressed her the most there is the Lei Feng Memorial Hall, where she was deeply touched by the story of Lei Feng featuring the spirit of "serving the people wholeheartedly".
