China and Palestine have agreed to upgrade ties to the level of "strategic partnership." In a joint statement issued on June 14th, the two sides reiterated mutual support on issues concerning each other's core interests and concerns. Wang Jin, an associate professor with Northwest University of China, says upgrading bilateral ties will bring new cooperation opportunities.
