Data released by the National Health Commission says there are about 42 million infants and toddlers aged three or below in China, and one-third of them require childcare services. But the overall enrollment rate at nurseries is only 5.5 percent, leaving a huge gap. In response, the provincial government of Sichuan has backed the building of more than 100 facilities, for over 6,000 children. Guo Tianqi has the details.
