South African President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived at Nemishaeve Railway Station in Ukraine's Kyiv region on Friday as part of an African peace mission, the South African presidency said on Twitter.
Ramaphosa, along with leaders from Senegal, Zambia, the Comoros, and Egypt, met Ukrainian defense ministry representatives ahead of talks planned later in the day with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The leaders are due to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg on Saturday.
