The orchid has a large belly and a small mouth, much like a bag. The diameter of the bloom is 5 to 6 cm, and the color of the flower body is reddish. It is regarded as "the most beautiful orchid in northern China" and has a very high ornamental value.

The plant only flourishes when it has enough water, well-drained soil, a wide temperature variation between day and night, high air humidity and good air circulation.
